Olya Lookoye is a multidisciplinary female artist working in tempera and watercolor painting, as well as digital art and graphics. By dramatizing her inner experiences, she creates works that are both realistic and ironic, yet imbued with a fairytale-like quality.
She presents events with irony and a «childlike perspective», diminishing pathos and transforming serious topics into magical stories about love and private life, all set against rich cultural and historical backdrops.
Her art allows viewers to escape the weight of everyday life, overcome fears, discover their inner strength, and find inspiration, making their personal fairytale a reality.
Olya Lookoye has extensive professional experience in visual arts, with 15 exhibitions across 6 cities since 2016. These include solo exhibitions in Almaty, Moscow, Novosibirsk, and Omsk, as well as group shows in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkey. Her works are part of private collections in four countries: Russia, Austria, France, and Spain.
