Artist painter (Almaty, Kazakhstan, 49 years old)
Works in tempera, watercolor and digital painting and graphics, uses the method of dramatizing inner experience.
Turning to the principles of surrealism and psychoanalysis laid down by Andre Breton and Carl Jung, Olya shows events through irony and a “child’s view” in order to reduce pathos and turn serious topics into magical stories about love and private life against the backdrop of scenery from a cultural and historical context.
This allows the viewer not only to see the world through the eyes of the artist, but also to free themselves from the burden of everyday life, overcome fears, feel inner strength and find inspiration.
